»VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS AND US« – One-day workshop/lectures
  • Objectives:
    – To get acquainted with different aspects of psychological processes in the use of ICT,
    – Participants will be able to better plan different strategies realted to virtual work and the use of internet in their firms,
    – To include findings on psychological aspects of the use of ICT in their work,
    – Design work activities based on psychological findings in the field of online work.
  • Content:
    – Online interaction: How do we enter computer-mediated communication and do we really change while using it?
    – Group dynamics in virtual space: Are virtual workgroups more or less effective than traditional ones?
    – Digital footprints: What does the web know about us and how useful is this kind of data? An example of psychologically targeted strategies i.e. targeting
    – The web as a source of information: What are the main drawbacks and opportunities?
    – Adoption of new technology: In which cases and why can the general public be reluctant to adopt new technological solutions?
