The University of Wolverhampton leads the European digital learning project aimed at increasing student engagement using interactive textbooks. The Co-created Interactive Courseware (CIC) project addresses the EU priority for open education and innovative practices in a digital era.

It combines a social learning environment where students can help each other and track their progress, with a fully automated publishing flow where authors can publish courseware. This creates interactive textbooks with no technical overhead, and a learning analytics engine offering teachers insights into the learning trajectory of their students.
