Implementing artificial intelligence in healthcare


On Thursday 19 September 2024, a webinar on Implementing Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare will take place from 10 am to 2 pm.

Artificial intelligence is bringing major changes to healthcare and opening the door to many innovations. This seminar will give participants an insight into current trends and concrete examples of how AI can improve healthcare services, while highlighting the limitations and concerns of its use. Particular emphasis will be placed on practical use cases, including automated text generation, advanced image analysis and generation, and the implementation of AI in the education of healthcare professionals and patients. It will also show how AI is optimising key processes in healthcare, and how conversational robots and other advanced technologies are improving patient interaction and the efficiency of care.

No specific background in computer science or artificial intelligence is required, as the seminar is designed in a way that allows the widest possible participation.

The seminar will be conducted by the research team of Prof. Dr Gregor Štiglic, Vice-Dean for Research, Professor and Head of the Research Institute of the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Maribor.
